Geranium ‘Elke’

‘Elke’ is a pleasant little no-fuss perennnial geranium (Geranium sanguineum) that blooms for weeks on end beginning in late spring.

The flowers start out a dark pink:

And then transition to a lighter rose color:

‘Elke’ does well in full sun or partial-shade. My plant is growing under a viburnum, so it only gets about 3 hours of full sun each day, but it’s very happy in that location.

‘Elke’ grows 10 inches tall in a well-behaved trailing mound. This plant is hardy in Zones 3-9
