I have a list of daylily favorites, and let’s just say if the ship was going down, ‘Grey Witch’ would get a prime seat in the lifeboat.
This spider-form daylily grows 30 inches tall with grayish-lavender flowers that have a dark-purple eye and a wide green throat that gives them an impressive star effect.
The flowers are huge and keep coming for weeks. That purple-gray color can vary depending on the light conditions, but those blooms are always eye-catching.
‘Grey Witch’ was registered in 1999 and blooms in the middle of the daylily season.
