Daylily ‘Potosi’

I have to admit that daylily ‘Potosi’ is not a particularly long-blooming daylily, but the flowers that do appear are spectacular.

This daylily is registered as a deep gold, but there is so much going on in those petals and sepals. Look deep into the flowers and it’s what I imagine looking into the sun must be like. There are oranges and corals and brighter yellows screaming to escape from behind that gold sheen.

‘Potosi’ grows 30 inches tall with gorgeous 6-inch flowers that have a subtle green throat. This tetraploid daylily was registered 35 years ago. It blooms in the middle of the daylily season.
