My backyard Koreanspice viburnum is blooming, and the scent is intoxicating. I have another one in the front yard, but that one bloomed during our two-week rainy spell and by the time the weather was nice enough to tromp outside and get a whiff of the flowers, they were already past their prime.
The migrating birds that visited my yard this month hid out this shrub’s branches now that it’s about 15 feet tall.
