I ordered all of my flower seeds before Thanksgiving, so I feel oddly way ahead of the game when it comes to planning this year’s flowerbeds.
Our last 2 growing seasons have been very challenging with weeks of extremely wet weather, and some of my annuals really struggled. While marigolds and zinnias aren’t necessarily the most exciting flowers, they are always reliable, so I went heavy on both those flower types this year.
Better yet I don’t need to start sprouting zinnias or marigolds indoors from seed until mid-April, so while I still have a few other types of flowers that need to be started much earlier, my February and March seed-starting adventures should be much less hectic.
