A week ago the temperature hit 50 degrees (F) which tied a record for January. My friend and I decided to find a park with a paved path so we could enjoy the warm day without killing ourselves by slipping on melting ice and snow.
The path was still snowy in the shadier areas, but two days after our walk it rained more than an inch and all of the snow and ice vanished.
