‘Neon’ Takes Second

‘Neon’ is the second amaryllis to bloom in my bay window this season. The flowers are a little smaller than in past years (4 inches across)—or perhaps they look smaller because ‘Splash’ is showing off nearby with 7-inch blossoms.

‘Neon’ is considered a miniature amaryllis and grows 16-20 inches tall with bright pink flowers and a lime-green eye.

My bulb sent up two flower stalks. The one that is blooming has 2 open flowers and 5 buds right now. The second stalk has about 5 inches to grow yet to catch up to the first one.
