Swimming Swiss Chard

My tiny vegetable garden is smothered in chicken wire because the chipmunks and rabbits are always nibbling the plants or stomping on them.

I had to reseed my Swiss Chard twice, but I finally have some sprouts coming up, and so far most of them appear to be red or orange (you can tell by the stems).

Now that their up and at ’em, the cone of a hurricane—yes, a hurricane—is going to track toward us tomorrow and bring several inches of rain to parts of southern Wisconsin.

My little seedlings better brace themselves!
