I always thought it was a little pointless to plant potted fall mums for the very brief time they’re around before the first frost kills them off, but I made a rare trip to a garden center last weekend and I couldn’t help myself.
My petunias were looking tired and raggedy in their planters so I yanked them out and added some color and life back to our front walk.
I was going to stop at two, but on my second stop at a hardware store, they were practically giving away their mums so I bought 2 more.
And I usually skip pansies for the same reason (not around long enough), but guess what else came home with me?
