I wish I knew which Orienpet lily this was so I could plant them everywhere. I love the little freckles on this lily.
The color starts out as a gorgeous melon-orange. As the flowers age and get some afternoon sunshine, they fade to a cream color but keep that melon center and those adorable freckles.
This lily has been growing in my garden now for at least 5 years. It even survived the Polar Vortex that wiped out many of my Orienpets.
Orienpet lilies are a cross between an Oriental lily and an Easter lily. Most grow 3 to 6 feet tall (depending on the cultivar) and bloom in late July and early August.
