I’ve grown Orienpet lily ‘Flashpoint’ for about 8 years now. While some of my other Orienpet cultivars magically disappeared the summer after a particularly bad winter (Polar Vortex anyone?), this one survived and is thriving.
Once established, ‘Flashpoint’ grows about 4 to 5 feet tall on sturdy flower stalks. This lily holds its color extremely well—even if it gets full afternoon sun.
The flowers are mostly outfacing and are dark pinkish-red with white tips, and they are quite fragrant.
‘Flashpoint’ grows in Zones 5-9 and blooms in July.
