It’s no secret which of my amaryllis bulbs is going to bloom first. ‘Rapido’ had leaves peeking out of the bulbs the day after I planted them already during the first week of November.
‘Rapido’ is a miniature amaryllis with “smaller-than-average” screaming-red flowers. It’s supposed to crank out more flowers per bulb than the average amaryllis.
So far both of my bulbs are sending up two flower stalks at once.
It will soon be time to find out if this cultivar lives up to its hype.
