It is no surprise that ‘Rapido’ is my first amaryllis to bloom. This overachieving miniature is also a multi-flowering amaryllis. Both of my bulbs have sent up 3 scapes, and one of them has 9 buds on it so far.
The flowers are smaller than average (mine are about 4.5″ across), but if they were the regular size the plant would never be able to cram that many flowers on a stalk. They wouldn’t have room to open!
‘Rapido’ is a miniature amaryllis that grows about 18 inches tall with scarlet-red flowers. Mine took about 5 weeks to bloom once I potted up the bulbs.
