Amaryllis ‘Arctic Nymph’

‘Arctic Nymph’ is a double amaryllis with white petals. The cluster in the middle has a little flush of pink and the flowers have a lime green throat.

This amaryllis tops out at about 18 inches tall, and the flowers are huge—almost 8 inches across! My first stalk has 5 buds on it, but only one is open so far. With such big flowers there’s not enough room for all of them to bloom at once.

‘Arctic Nymph’ is also sending up a second stalk for me that should bloom in about 2 weeks. I like that the stalks don’t lean toward the sun so I don’t have to rotate the pot regularly like I often have to do with other amaryllis cultivars.
