Amaryllis ‘Amadeus Candy’

Amaryllis ‘Amadeus Candy’ is my last amaryllis bulb to send up its first scape this winter. It took about 8 weeks before it decided to bloom. This cultivar is a double with white petals with brushed pink edges. The white color has more of a lime green tinge to it than, say, ‘Picasso’ which is a purer white.

‘Amadeus Candy’ grows 18 inches tall and that’s exactly the height of my first scape which will have 5 flowers on it once they all open. And my bulb is already sending up 2 more scapes, so the show should continue well into February!
