Because the 7-inch flowers are such a deep, rich red I don’t have a camera that wants to focus clearly on Amaryllis ‘Magnum’. And the flowers are on this Dutch amaryllis are huge.

Magnum’s scapes are supposed to grow 18 to 22 inches tall. My first scape reached 14 inches with 4 flowers, and a second scape is already peeking out from the bulb.
