‘Palmyra’

The rodents continue to make it nearly impossible to enjoy any tulips in my yard, but a few cultivars continue to thrive. One is double early tulip ‘Palmyra’.

The blackish-burgundy-purple blooms are different than most spring-blooming flowers and really stand out in a flowerbed or garden.

‘Palmyra’ looks especially lovely growing next to grape hyacinth or yellow tulips. The flowers grow 14 to 18 inches tall and bloom in mid-spring. You can plant them in part-sun to full sun, and the bulbs are hardy in Zones 3-8.

I planted my bulbs in 2015 and they are still showing up 8 years later!
