‘Wild One’

Daylily ‘Wild One’ has been happily growing in one of my flowerbeds for more than 15 years.

This cultivar is 45 years old now. In 1985 it received an Honorable Mention award from the American Hemerocallis Society.

The scapes grow 34 inches tall and the golden yellow flowers are more than 7 inches in diameter.

So many flashier daylilies have been bred since this one, but ‘Wild One’ blooms without fail for me every summer, so I’ll continue to give it a home.
