Daylily ‘William Austin Norris’

The official registered color for Daylily ‘William Austin Norris’ is “medium pink blend with green throat.” I would argue that it has a cream to yellow eye or watermark as well that adds a little pizazz to the flowers.

This cultivar has grown in one of my flowerbeds for probably close to 2 decades now. Oddly I don’t remember ever dividing it. My plant grows in a part-sun location and has to compete for nutrients with a whole row of 20-foot-tall arborvitaes that line up behind it. But it still blooms every year!

‘William Austin Norris’ was registered in 1995. The scapes reach 28 inches high with 5.5″ flowers. It’s a semi-evergreen daylily that blooms in the middle of the daylily season.
