Join me as I take a trip through the alphabet from A to Z and showcase some favorite plants that I’ve grown in my flowerbeds over the last 30 years!
Globe Thistles (Echinops ritro) are tough perennials that can handle poor soil, and they’re drought resistant. The interesting purplish-blue flowers appear in mid-summer and attract pollinators like bees and butterflies. The spiky seed heads are an interesting focal point in a flowerbed before and after bloom. Globe thistles grow 3 to 4 feet tall and prefer full sun.
