Here’s a pretty little double amaryllis to brighten up the short winter days. ‘Sweet Nymph’ has semi-double to fully-double, rosy-pink blooms with darker-pink veins.
The flower stalks reach 18 inches tall, but the amaryllis bulbs I grow tend to always top out a few inches shorter than they are supposed to. Maybe it’s because I have them in a bay window area that can get chilly overnight.
I planted this bulb in early November, and so far the first flower stalk is 12 inches tall. Three flowers opened at once and there are 3 more buds waiting for some blooming space!
