Amaryllis ‘Miracle’

Amaryllis ‘Miracle’ has gorgeous dark-red flowers that last a very long time.

Those out-facing flowers are 8 inches across with thick petals, and when the sun isn’t shining on them, they look almost black.

‘Miracle’ is supposed to grow about 14 inches tall, and most of the amaryllis bulbs I grow end up shorter than their suggested heights. Interestingly both scapes from my bulb topped out at 24 inches!

This amaryllis grew fairly straight for me. The only complaint I have is that when some of the flowers were opening, the thick pollen got on the petals and couldn’t be brushed off so they looked kind of messy. Other than that, this is a very pretty amaryllis that’s easy to care for.
