Daylily ‘Summer Pearls’ is a new addition to my yard. I purchased this cultivar at a daylily sale last August and this is its first bloom:
‘Summer Pearls’ grows 30 inches tall with 6-inch creamy-white flowers that have yellow ruffles and a yellow throat.
I know better than to judge a daylily during its first year in a new spot. I expect future flowers to show off more of those yellow, “chicken fat” ruffles.
‘Summer Pearls’ is an evergreen daylily that blooms early in the daylily season. In fact this is only the 4th of the 400 daylily cultivars I have growing in my yard to start blooming.
