I hesitate to comment on my tomatoes since last year’s late blight attack was so jarring. One day I had 20 healthy plants, and the next day they were all consumed with disease and had to be destroyed.
This year I sprouted 11 different varieties and so far they are all thriving. My first tomato is even starting to ripen. This is ‘Bloody Butcher:’
I’m especially excited about a hybrid I’m growing called ‘Grandaddy.’ The determinate plants are barely 3 feet tall but just loaded with huge tomatoes.
Hopefully in a few weeks I’ll be able to run some taste tests.
