I bought some tulip bulbs on sale a few years ago. I really wasn’t all that picky about what colors or cultivars I planted, I just wanted to add some spring color to a flowerbed in my front yard.
When ‘Jan Reus’ bloomed I was thrilled. The color is gorgeous—very deep red with a subtle black undertone.
‘Jan Reus’ is a Triumph tulip. It blooms mid-spring and grows 14 to 16 inches tall.
