Species tulips like ‘Persian Pearl’ (pictured below) have been blooming in my yard for several weeks now.
Finally the bigger tulips are finally starting to open. I have a batch on the south side of my house that have bloomed reliably each year for the last 6 years. The flowers are just as big and beautiful as the first year I planted them.
I would love to add more of them to my flowerbeds, but unfortunately I never wrote down what type of tulip they were or which cultivar. I must’ve tucked them into that area as an afterthought.
Sometimes the best plants are mystery plants.
