Daylily ‘All American Chief’

One of the most eye-catching daylilies in my partial-shade garden is ‘All American Chief’. The bright red blooms are 9 inches wide and have a contrasting yellow throat.

All American Chief grows 32 inches tall, so it’s the perfect plant for the the middle or back of a border where the flowers will hover above other annuals and perennials.

My plant blooms like crazy even though it gets only early morning and late afternoon sun. ‘All American Chief’ is a dormant daylily that blooms early-to-mid-season.
