Jack and Her Beanstalks

None of my butterfly bushes died back during our mild winter. They started growing right where they left off last fall. Some of them are already over 5 feet tall:

Even the cultivars that usually peak at 3 feet tall are already way beyond that height.

I hope they start blooming soon because I have a feeling the Japanese beetles will get a good head start this year too.
