‘Slow Burn’ Sizzles in the Shade

My ‘Slow Burn’ daylily is in high shade for most of the day now, but this hasn’t stopped it from cranking out scores of stunning flowers.

This 28-inch-tall attention-getter was one of my best-performing daylilies this year, and that could be because the plant was in the shade and had some protection from the blazing sun.

‘Slow Burn’ has 6-inch, orange-red flowers and blooms in the middle of the daylily season. The flowers make a fiery complement to yellow or orange flowers, or you can pair them with purple flowers for a stunning contrast.
