Your Orienpets are beautiful. I bought five at a local sale late in the season. Will probably have to move them in the Spring. Their height will force me to stake them – something I don’t like doing. Most of my lillies are either Asiatics or Orientals.

I have been very impressed with the Orienpet and LA Hybrid Asiatic lilies. They flower heavily and the stalks grow taller and thicker each year. The colors aren’t as dazzling as the regular Orientals and Asiatics, but the plants more than make up for it with their performance. I hate staking plants too, and I’d be willing to bet an Orienpet could put up a good fight against wind or a strong thunderstorm, but I’m never willing to take that gamble. I stake all my Orienpets “just in case.” Good luck with your new bulbs!
