Daylily ‘Time Lord’ is an “oldie but a goodie.” The cultivar was registered in 1983 when I was still belting out Duran Duran songs in the shower. Assuming you can find it, you should be able to get it for pretty cheap.
The 6-inch flowers are red but with an underlying hint of brown, and they sport a coral watermark (swoon!) and a bright, yellow-green throat. The scapes grow 30 inches tall.
‘Time Lord’ is stuck in part-shade in my garden, but it doesn’t seem to mind. It blooms reliably for several weeks each summer.
‘Time Lord’ is an evergreen daylily that blooms early in the daylily season.
