Daylily ‘Happy Holidays to You’

When I plant a daylily, I’m anxious to see it bloom right away in all its glory. But the truth is, that may take a couple of years.

I planted ‘Happy Holidays to You’ after the daylily growing season was over in 2023. If it bloomed last year at all, I missed it. I definitely didn’t miss it this year! The flowers really stand out from a distance.

‘Happy Holidays to You’ grows 24 inches tall with orange-red blooms that have a yellow-green throat.

This evergreen daylily was registered in 2008 and has been bred to create more than a dozen different cultivar “children”.

The 6-inch flowers have an interesting, toothy-yellow edge:
