Daylily ‘Cherry Candy’

Here’s another daylily that I planted in late 2023 that’s finally showing off.

This is ‘Cherry Candy’:

‘Cherry Candy’ won an American Daylily Society Honorable Mention award in 1995. It was bred from a well-known, heavily-awarded daylily that was registered in 1979 called ‘Siloam Virginia Henson’. That cultivar was used to breed more than 220 other daylilies since its registration!

Cherry Candy’s peach-colored flowers have a lovely contrasting red eyezone. The plants grow 30 inches tall, so it’s a good plant for the middle of a flower border.
