Asiatic Lily ‘Eyeliner’ is a bulb with pure-white flowers that have festive maroon freckles at their center. The petals are outlined with a slight maroon line—thus the name.
Plant Asiatic lily bulbs 6 or 7 inches deep and 6 inches apart in the fall. They don’t take up a lot of space so you can stick them in the middle of perennial beds for an extra burst of color, or plant 3 or 4 bulbs together for a stunning show.
‘Eyeliner’ grows 3 feet tall in sun or part-shade.
Cosmos ‘Sonata White’ is an annual that grows 24 inches tall above lacy foliage. The large, bright-white flowers will appear for months in the summer if you keep the plants deadheaded.
Cosmos are easy to grow from seed. Just tuck the seeds into the ground once the chance of frost has passed.
‘Sonata White’ makes a great cottage garden plant. The plants prefer full sun but can hold their own in partial-shade.
‘Crazy Daisy’ Shasta daisy is an incredibly-long-blooming perennial. The flowers are frilly with a button-yellow center, and they appear from June into August.
Plant ‘Crazy Daisy’ in sun or partial shade where it will grow about 2 feet tall. The clumps are bushy and robust and the plants have no pest or disease issues. This is one carefree, easy-to-grow perennial.
