Orienpet lily ‘Lavon’ went crazy on me last summer. In 2013 I thought the plant was showing off a respectable number of blooms:
But that was nothing like what ‘Lavon’ had in store for summer of 2014—its second year in my flowerbed. Its performance bordered on the ridiculous:
My sister lives about 30 minutes away, and her ‘Lavon’ bulbs were also over-the-top showy:
‘Lavon’ has cream-colored flowers with a raspberry starburst center. I’ll admit the color is a little bland for my tastes, but good grief, I can certainly overlook that when such a small number of bulbs can produce such a dazzling display.
‘Lavon’ grows 4 to 6 feet tall in Zones 4-8. Plant the bulbs in late fall for flowers the following summer. ‘Lavon’ blooms in late July and early August.

Love the color of this lily. Ordered some bulbs for myself after viewing your blog! Hope I can find a place to put them. I’m getting 3 bulbs. They’re coming from Holland Bulb Farm. Ever order from them? Scheppers (sp?) were sold out!
Nope, I’ve never ordered from them. Are they out of Pennsylvania or Wisconsin? I found two listing for them on Dave’s Garden Watchdog and both get respectable ratings, so you should be okay!
