If we lived on a much bigger property I would line it with Koreanspice Viburnum shrubs. I planted two of them in 2008 and they have grown from a foot tall to nine feet tall and 6 feet wide in seven years. Every spring the most delectable scent wafts throughout the yard from the puffs of white flowers:
The other day when I was driving up our street toward our driveway I noticed two older ladies on the sidewalk taking turns sticking their noses in the flowers. Then they grabbed the leaves and turned them over and examined them. I could’ve felt violated, but it was amusing.
I’m sure they were just trying to figure out what plant could create such a heavenly scent.
