Hosta flowers are an afterthought to me, but I was rather impressed with the display from ‘Rainforest Sunrise’ this summer. My plant looked almost overwhelmed by the huge flower stalk:
‘Rainforest Sunrise’ won the 2013 Hosta of the Year honor. It grows about 10 inches tall and eventually spreads about two feet wide, but my plant is new and very small. That didn’t stop the large, white flowers from strutting their stuff:

This is a hosta I could learn to like!! I don’t care for the hostas that have the light lavender flowers. But this hosta with the lovely white flower is a keeper!
I agree! And the flowers are fragrant too!
