I can’t decide if Amaryllis ‘Moon Scene’ is interesting or homely, but I’m pretty sure I can hear my mom shouting “Homely!” from her house 30 miles away. I think you’re on to something, Mom.
The flowers are white with red veining, and the petals have a slight red edge. The throat is lime green, and the color bleeds into the petals and gives the flowers an overall greenish cast. I could appreciate them more if they were pure white.
‘Moon Scene’ grows 18 to 22 inches tall. So far my bulb has only sent up one 21-inch-tall scape with four flowers.
