Crocus Bulbs that Rodents Ignore

If you’re afraid to plant bulbs because you have marauding rodents, give C. tommasinianus hybrid crocus bulbs a try. They are supposed to be unattractive to rodents, and for the last several years far I’ve found that to be the case (or maybe the chipmunks and squirrels have just been much too busy eating all my tulip bulbs to bother with them).

Crocus bulbs are some of the earliest spring bulbs to bloom and a most welcome sight after a long winter.

Crocus plants bloom in full sun to partial shade and the flowers start appearing in late March and early April.
