It’s been warm enough over the last few days to allow the ground under my south-facing bay window to thaw out. The squirrels haven’t had any good soil to dig in for 3 months now, so they immediately took advantage of the situation.
When I looked out the window yesterday morning and stared at all the little piles they made in my flowerbed, I noticed some pale yellow daffodil leaves poking out of the ground.
But then I looked closer and realized I also have snowdrops blooming!
I’m calling it. Spring 2018 is here!
