Last week through my little window speaker I heard some Sandhill Cranes flying over our house. Then on little road trip on Saturday my friend and I thought we saw a couple of hawks riding the wind currents. As we got closer, we realized they were the first Turkey Vultures of the year!
And yesterday this guy showed up on my platform feeder (Red-winged Blackbird):
The birds are signaling that it’s spring, so it must be so (well except for the pesky snow in the forecast today and tonight)!
