I lost many Orienpet lilies last winter, but a few survived and thrived. I’m not sure what this was about, however. It happened to several cultivars–some sort of weird stippling on the petals and sepals. On ‘Sensi’ it was actually kind of pretty.
Perhaps it was a reaction to our ridiculously wet weather? Or maybe some kind of winter damage?
If ‘Sensi’ survived the Polar Vortex it will be interesting to see if it does this again when it blooms this summer.
