Somewhere under this itchy squirrel, 3 feet of snow and a mess of birdseed shells, my snowdrops bulbs are waiting to bloom.
I wonder if they’ll wait patiently until they are exposed to the sun before popping out of the ground or if they are already pushing up through the snow and ice wondering why on earth they didn’t stay asleep awhile longer.
