Every year a few morning glories sneak up on me, and I don’t notice them until they bloom. The pop out ouf the ground and start to twist around and climb my tall Orienpet lilies that are next to the screen porch.
I haven’t planted morning glories in years and years, so this batch just keeps reseeding. I like the pretty blue flowers, but their self-seeding nature can really be a nuisance.
The Japanese beetles LOVE morning glory leaves, however, so they make an excellent diversion plant. That’s why when I finally notice them blooming, I never have the heart to yank them out.
