The perennials and annuals are all tired out from blooming their little hearts out this summer, so my flowerbeds are looking scraggly.
There are a few exceptions. Because ‘Bonfire’ Salvia doesn’t start blooming until about mid-August, it’s still looking great:
And the perennial season always ends in my yard with the sedums and asters. So far there aren’t any asters blooming, but the sedums having been showing off for a couple of weeks already.
