I mentioned last week that rabbits were still chomping on some of my annuals. Surprisingly it’s marigolds that took the biggest hit from the bunnies this summer.
I thought marigolds weren’t supposed to taste good to critters!
The Japanese beetles attacked the blossoms and the rabbits ate all the stems off many of my plants. All that was missing was a hoard of earwigs skeletonizing the leaves.
I won’t give up on marigolds, however, because they are too easy to sprout and and they bloom all summer long without any care from me!
