In the race to be the first of my 9 amaryllis bulbs to bloom this winter season, ‘Splash’ is the winner.
This cultivar has brilliant-red double flowers with a white star in the center. The flower stalks reach 20-24″ high.
My stalk has 5 eye-catching flowers on it, and there’s already a second flower shoot peeking out from the base of the bulb.
So far the flower stalk has stayed straight and steady (no leaning).
I will definitely grow this one again.
