Amaryllis ‘Spartacus’ is big and flashy and bold. The 8-inch brilliant-red flowers are decorated with a white star.
‘Spartacus’ is supposed to grow about 20 inches tall, and usually my amaryllis bulbs stay on the shorter end of their range, but my plant is already 24 inches tall. The bulb sent up one stalk with 5 flowers on it.
This cultivar’s bold colors make it the perfect Christmas-time amaryllis.
