My first batch of forced hyacinths are opening fast. Rather than buying individual cultivars this year, I purchased a mix. When the first few buds started showing color, I was afraid I’d been stuck with all white flowers, but when they opened I was surprised to see they were a cheery butter-yellow instead.
Some lovely violet-blue flowers have opened as well, and my office smells like spring!
