It took forever for the daffodils to bloom this year because of the chilly weather. We’ve really only had 3 nice, mild days so far this spring that were spaced apart. And I can’t remember the last time we were able to string together two sunny days in a row.
Usually my daffodils and tulips are done blooming by now. But this year they just started opening in the last couple of days. Unfortunately the blooming period isn’t going to last long. We’re skipping spring and going right into July weather with highs in the mid-80s (F), high humidity and 40mph wind gusts this week. The spring bulbs aren’t going to appreciate that (nor will the sugar snap peas I planted over the weekend!).
Thankfully we can preserve the beauty with photographs!
